Women Unite. We know what to say!!

MY Dad sent this to me and I had to share! We know how to have a serious discussion, don't we??

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that be gin with nothing usually end in fine..

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a
women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F-- YOU!
(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

The Movie, "Processed People." Take Control of Your Health NOW!

">

Don't be illusioned when a product says all natural. It may be all natural but I'm sure it's processed unless stated otherwise. Read ingredients and if you can't pronounce it, don't eat it!!!

At my Raw Food meeting yesterday, the speaker said that it should be illegal for doctors to do what most of them do. And don't get me started on the commercials for pharmaceuticals. I'm appalled! BUT if YOU don't take control, no one else will. Oh and the statement, "Please talk to your doctor before changing your ..what? lifestyle. Phooeeeyy!! I don't want this to get into a lengthy hoo-haw on the feelings I have about the ridiculous things that the government allows and doesn't allow. But let's just take cow's milk for example. It was meant for baby calfs, not PEOPLE!!! Want more info? It's all out there and I will be willing to share many sites with you. Just ask!

Let me just say how wonderful my YOGA Practice was today. Two days ago I was really doing my asanas with intention and awareness of the body parts I wanted to build more strength in. Oh and the next day I was sore and loving it. So don't forget to engage the muscles you're trying to develop and then relax. My practice today was over an hour and then I trance danced for awhile which truly sets me free! My breathing (pranayama) practice was full strength and I am so full of energy today, I almost don't know what to do with myself. So I've finished a lot of work, prepared bunches of foods for the week and for my juicing this week. Let's just say, I FEEL AWESOME! What are you doing to make you feel better today? This week?

Remember to RELAX as well and get plenty (enough) of sleep. Turn the TV off and read a fabulous book! I've got some to recommend if you need help deciding.

Let the yoga lifestyle take control of YOU!!

Namaste,
Carrie

Yoga Trance Dance

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of joining in a local "Dance Meditation" with some really unique individuals. And we basically did what you see Shiva Rea doing/hearing here. I have to tell you I've been so compelled to MOVE and I find this as MEDITATION IN ACTION and now must teach it. Since I'm not teaching yet, this is one way to get it. There are many CDs and DVDs listed here if you click on the icon. Shop around and see what interests you.

I'm about to start my trance dance now! It just completes my soul and feelings of gratitude form in every cell of my body!! At least give it a look-see! You'll love it. You can download the programs right to your computer or ipod! Don't have to wait for the mail and you can start dancing your heart out right away!!

Have a beautifully, peaceful Sunday evening.

Namaste,
Carrie B!

Seeking a Spiritual Name!

Not yet blessed with a Sanskrit name by my gurus, I'm searching for the name that fits me in all ways...the name a guru would give me. Won't you help me decide!

I'm perplexed between Kali Lillie & Indra Deva. Don't get me wrong, I love the name I was given, I'm just been seeking a spiritual name and thinking for quite some time about acquiring one. Or if you have another, please shout it out!

Namaste!

TV Viewing..JUST SAY NO!

I was watching the weather channel yesterday just to see when the rain was going to stop and when the temp was going to go up. What I ended up hearing was a woman yack, yack, yacking. She was driving me insane. Nonstop talking. I don't watch the news which some people find rather odd! I don't want the BAD news, give me the good! Can't find that on TV!

But and it's a BIG but, I love movies and music. NO COMMERCIALS, simply put! Signed up for Netflix just so I can pick what I want and No COMMERCIALS!! I won't watch a program that has commercials, if so, I record it and skip through them. Commercialization drives me nuts! Let's say there's a funny commercial and I've seen a few. . . it doesn't make me go buy what they're selling. Unfortunately other people in my household don't turn the TV off so I'm always in another room or outside or out just to get away from it. I prefer the peace and quiet.

The other night I DANCED! and I DANCED! Then I purchased some good, used CDs from ebay at a very nice price so I can dance some more. OH, don't fall for the sales pitches...they clique & trite and full of bull.

So DANCE! TranceDance! Pick up Shiva Rea's TranceDance CD! Check it out on my picks!! Cirque Du Soleil is my choice at present@!

Get up! Go on....get up! Breathe! Move! And turn off your tv.

Om Shanti!

Mahashivarathri 2009 ~Please Join the Community Celebration

I have yet to celebrate this tradition yet I am being called to do just that now! I'm in need of the Spiritual Awakening that I've told can happen when you participation.

As stated, you can participate alone. Personally I am not sure yet if I will have someone to celebrate with, but I'm thinking in Houston, we will have a small gathering.

Please check out the website for further information. http://www.ishafoundation.org/Mahashivarathri/Mahashivarathri_Live.php

Here you will find the video explaning the details and our sacred chant, "AUM Namah Shivaya." If you choose to participate, please leave any comments here so we may further discuss how you were moved by such a sacret event.

Mahashivarathri, which falls in February/March every year, is very significant among the sacred festivals of India. This night celebrates the
Grace of Shiva, who is considered the Adi (first) Guru, from whom the
yogic tradition originates. The planetary positions on this night are such that there is a powerful natural upsurge of energy in the human system.

It is enormously beneficial for one's physical and spiritual wellbeing to stay awake and aware throughout the night.
In Isha, each year, Mahashivarathri is celebrated as a nightlong Sathsang with Sadhguru. Sadhguru's discourses and powerful meditations, nterspersed with music performances by top artists, open up the possibility of a deep spiritual experience.

As it has become tradition in Isha, the all-night event will be accompanied by lively cultural programs and concerts featuring prominent artists. This year, India's foremost classical Dhrupad vocalists Gundecha Brothers, Indo-Rock Fusion band Indian Ocean as well as the soul-stirring high-energy World Music group Naadbrahma will set the right conditions for
the audience to stay awake on this auspicious night.

We invite you along with your family and friends to join us in celebration of this rapturous night with the Divine.

The music shown on this video will MOVE you to get up and dance! It's a beauty of Nature!

In Service,

Carrie B

Osho and his teachings.

I am reading Osho's book entitled "love, freedom, aloneness" and am finding the feelings I've had for quite some times are quite valid even though I thought they were unique and something "weird." But love is open-ended in all ways without having to entirely commit to one.

Obviously the book is much more than that and I'm only on page 40 as I seem to have to read each sentence two or three times. Seems to be a language interpretation barrier for me. But what I'm getting from most of it is that love is the first and foremost ideal of loving yourself first. Yep!

The moment love becomes an attachment, love becomes a relationship. The moment love becomes demanding, it is prison.

This feeling is not new to me. I love being alone and find I can love from a distance and can love close up. But I'm full of love. Never doubt that you are too!

And do you ever feel in your yoga practice that everything is LOVE? Eyes wide open and EVERYTHING is BEautiful!

Here's to Your Practice and know my love is with you as you work through your breath and the asanas are giving your body the love it deserves as well.

As I Settle Back into my True Soul of Yoga Practice..

...shaking from doing a class with David Swenson, I realize that I could never disconnect from my yoga practice even though I've been remiss with my asanas since starting my new job. But what I've realized more, is that it is a NEED to practice it more even with the new responsibilities and stress of teaching art.

I know, I know... I have a new job. Not anything new to most of you, but I have never worked a full-time job for anyone before; I've always owned my own business and it's just different.

So back to the yoga! David Swenson can pretty much shut you up and put you through the toughest asana practice and "hate" it but then can't live without it. You know that addiction of YOGA!!! Yes, I'm still shaking and yes, I had a truly awesome sivasana just now (which YOU know you have to have when completing such a grueling routine) but what I found most invigorating is the level from within my mind that I feel is going to bring me back to the strong emotional person I've been but seemed to have lost since my move. (yes rehashing the recent hard parts of my life.) But I'm moving on now and accepting where I am and what I'm doing and am going to teach yoga in person, on-line and be a part of the communities I've started and belong to.

Please take a moment and "think" where you are. Are you where you want to be? I am. Are you happy? I am. Are you healthy? I am. Are you thankful? I am.

Now have a beautiful week. A very Happy New Year! You'll be seeing lots of me and I hope to see lots of you!

My online community is working for me again, so please start posting again as I couldn't.

Love and Peace to All!

Carrie B!

Adjusting to Move

This is part of my new backyard!~! It's awesome. Needs a lot of work soon~

Well it's been a lot of trials and tribulations in the fact I've never really worked for anyone before. Always been self-employed! I love it with the exception of getting up at 5 a.m. Therefore I don't do Yoga in the morning although I will do my inversions on the table once I "jump" out of bed!!

So it's been a slow move to getting my routine down with a regular yoga time. Plus I joined a really nice gym that has a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. It seems like I am grading papers most of all. And of course, no real time for making my jewelry.

It will all fit in once I get used to it. I'm almost there!! Where are you with your practice. (oh and my camera is broken too...so no new yoga pics ;( ) But do not fear, the yoga will soon be here.

Still on the RawFood wagon. But as you know that takes a lot of time too preparing the food.

So NAMASTE to you all! Please comment. Check me out @ www.myspace.com/gyptc or www.myspace.com/yogaeternal!!

Oh...I understand and know that the yoga community down here is lacking. Obviously I want to change that!!! I've been to the Bikram studio...thought I was going to die mostly because they did contradications. Didn't mind the sweating-that was awesome. But next time I go, I won't be contraindicating myself! And most of the "cool" studios are downtown. Ok. that's only 35 minutes away, but there's also a studio within a mile of my home, but haven't visited yet. They're a bit pricey here for their yoga--$20/per class.

Bless you and write soon!! PS I do have a new phone number. Just request.

Carrie B!
